In Botosani, a Romanian city as big as Zwolle, every day thousands of refugees enter the city. The large aid organizations haven’t arrived yet and the resources are running low.
Dr. Aurora Morariu, doctor in Isala, is born and raised in Botosani and knows the aid workers and their stories personally. To help them to help the refugees, she started the HUMANE Foundation, together with impact entrepreneur Marc Huitink.
How we help
With the HUMANE Foundation, we have set up multiple projects to help the aid workers in Romania. With these activities, we collect donations and resources, that we directly deliver to the aid workers. We have no overhead, we know the aid workers personally and take care that donations and resources are immediately put to use.
Do you want to donate to help our aid workers in Romania with the right resources? Please, contact us or donate!
Who we are
The HUMANE Foundation was started by Aurora Morariu. She grew up in Botosani, Romania, a city as big as Zwolle and fifty kilometers from the borders of Ukraine. Her family and friends still live there and every day they see thousands of refugees entering their city. They were also the ones that started offering help to these refugees, but every day the resources are getting more scarce and refugees centers more crowded.
To help these aid workers with the right resources, Aurora, doctor at Isala Hospital, has founded HUMANE. Together with Marc Huitink, impact entrepreneur, they have mobilized business owners and inhabitants of the Netherlands to donate and help the aid workers in Romania immediately. Therefore, our efforts have direct impact and we are fully transparant about where your donations are going.
To make impact, we can’t work without our donors. Care to help?
